Add some life to your porch with a plant. Pick one with flowers to add some color or go with a simple green plant. Buy a nice planter that matches the aesthetics of your home. Make sure you buy the plant according to the amount of time you want to spend maintaining it. Also factor in if your porch is shaded or gets a lot of sun. Good options are philodendrons, tree ferns and arums.
3. A Doormat
If your doormat is looking a bit weathered, invest in a new one. Even though it’s not totally noticeable from the street, this small detail completes the look of your porch. It’s one of the first things people see when walking up to your house and it adds a thoughtful touch to the entrance of your home that shows you care.
